WHO WE ARE

Murphy & Partners is a private equity investment firm concentrated on the smaller end of the middle market. Since 1980, the principals of the firm have led more than $200 million in direct private equity investments involving dozens of leveraged acquisitions and a number of additional financing transactions. The firm consists of three partners with extensive experience in organizing, structuring, and managing private equity fund investments. We have worked together in various capacities for almost three decades, investing in, developing, operating, and financing a wide variety of companies. We focus on a niche market -- the frequently ignored low/middle market. We have an extensive deal network and seek out businesses in fields such as health care, education, media, and consumer services. We seek value opportunities with strong upside potential. Our typical equity investment is from $1.0 to $10.0 million. We take an active, hands-on approach to our investments. We find and develop strong management teams and, post-investment, participate in planning, operations and development. We focus on cost-savings and bottom-line improvement and frequently use platform companies as vehicles for growth. Limited partners in Murphy & Partners include institutional investors, such as U.S. and international banks, insurance companies, and corporate and public pension funds, as well as high net worth individuals and foundations.
